Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Set machine
   • Determine sequence of operations and set machine accordingly
   • Adjust machine to meet specifications and operational requirements
   • Measure first-off samples and inspect for compliance with specifications
   • Change tools and adjust settings to specification, as required
   • Instruct machine operator, if necessary, on sequencing settings and any required safety procedures
2. Determine job requirements
   • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
3. Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
4. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
5. Identify job requirements from specifications, drawings, job sheets or work instructions
